Yet another opportunity for me to rant!
And so I say unto you, society is screwed up. There, I said it.
You disagree? How can you possibly disagree?!? Children are having sex and taking drugs. The President of the United States is getting blowjobs, lying about it under oath, but is still considered a great guy and a fine example for the nation he leads (even after he pulls a Wag-The-Dog bombing of Afghanistan and the Sudan), and the Unibomber has an internet fan club.
Okay, what else goes in this section? People. sure. People suck. Not just mean people, as those trendy t-shirts would have you believe. But all people.People in cars with cell phones suck. People who walk too slowly suck. People with no manners suck. People who think they're god's gift to fill-in-the-blank suck. Stupid people suck. People who talk with thier mouths full of food suck. People who tell jokes but aren't funny suck. Racist people suck. Sexist people suck. The people who Rush Limbaugh (I always think of the cheese when I hear his name) called "Femi-nazis" suck. Rush Limbaugh sucks.
There are a few people who I think don't suck. (Some of them are famous. Some aren't. But just because you're famous, it doesn't mean you couldn't suck just as hard as any average Joe or Jody) :
Tom Hanks. Jeanne Garofalo (I always misspell her name though). Sean Connery, but any other James Bond sucks. Deb Pasternak. Dan Selinger. "The Big Dumb Jerk." Liv Tyler. The hampster Richard Gere shoved up his ...ahem. I just felt sorry for the little guy, but Richard Gere sucks. Mark Maguire, but Jose Canseco sucks. Steph Rea, but people who call her Stephie suck. Elsie Kipp. Dave Dickerson, but Jeff Garcia and Doug Flutie both suck. Erin Wilson, but her migranes suck. Bruce Willis. Captain Tractor, but Great Big Sea sucks (not their music, just the guys themselves. They stiffed me for an interview.) Nirvana, but Kurt Cobain sucks, or sucked I should say. He was a waste of skin, but he had a lot of musical talent.
I know I missed a lot of people who don't suck in this list, but that's tempered by the fact that I missed the names of a LOT of people who do suck.
And as far as culture goes... Professional wrestling is a cultural event. Agree or disagree?
